We have fantastic news for you!!! We just got the greenlight from Steam and this means…
The Alpha Playtest starts TOMORROW
Yes, the backer-exclusive Alpha Playtest will start tomorrow, Thursday the 15th of May 2025 around 11 a.m. CEST!
All of our Backers can join the Alpha Playtest and it will be available for a limited time.
We hope you will enjoy a sneak peek of what we are working on. This is a very rare opportunity to experience a game so early in development! The Playtest is by no means representative of the final game, but as we are creating the game we are looking forward to your honest thoughts and valuable feedback :)

Important: Above email is just for technical reasons. We cannot reply to it. So, if you have any questions or comments please stick to Kickstarter and Discord!
Also, please make sure to check your Spam folder, just in case you don’t receive anything.
The email you get will include a link to the Wallpapers, explain how the Exclusive Discord Role can be claimed and it will also give you the Steam Key for the Alpha Playtest once you have signed the according NDA (Non-disclosure agreement).
Please note that you are required to sign this NDA in order to receive the key and that the Alpha Playtest key is not connected to the Early Access in Summer 2025 in any way.
This will all be explained further in the email and we really tried to make the process as convenient for your as possible.
Why an NDA? Because the Alpha that you will get to play is a very early version of Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori, an exciting opportunity to get a first look at a game in development and thus it is not allowed to take any videos or pictures of the Alpha Playtest! Please check the NDA for the full explanation on this topic. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Alpha Playtest Content vs. Early Access
Please note the following:
The Alpha Playtest will feature English text only.
It is available to all backers via Steam only.
The Alpha Playtest features advanced CCC (Camera, Character, Controls), horse riding and on foot exploration, different biomes, weather changes, basic crafting, tutorial quests, a Mongolian settlement and a first iteration of our breeding mechanic.
Hunting and Archery for example are not yet included but they will be ready when we go into Early Accessin Summer 2025 (Steam and Epic Games Store) that will be, contrary to our backer-exclusive Alpha Playtest, available to the public!

As presented in our LIVE Stream yesterday, we will have a Trello Board for our Development Roadmap!
You will be able to see where we stand in development, what features are already implemented or yet to come, there will be an FAQ section and you will even be able to vote for various things.

Dear Backers and Followers,
The Kickstarter campaign for Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimorihas now officially and completely ended: What a Ride!
With the support of 8,889 Backers we managed to raise 504,798 EUR (approximately 573,008USD) for our open world action-adventure set in 13th century Mongolia with horses at its core, so that you may experience the legendary adventures of a brave Yam courier rider!

Next Steps
So that you can start giving us important information for the creation and distribution of the rewards (email address, Discord username, the name to be used in the credits including your personal 100-charter message, system of choice, shipping address, etc.), we will soon be sending out the first of many surveys!
Multiple surveys because certain info such as your shipping address or desired console version of choice may change over time and we want to make sure to be up to date.

Dear Backers and Followers,
Thanks to our Late Pledges we have raised even more money and are close to unlocking even more Stretch Goals! We are now really close to “Falconry” :)
There are only 48 hours left for Late Pledges (until Friday the 11th of April 2025, 2pm CEST) and it is also the final chance for Kickstarter-exclusive Rewards!
One last shake again and off we go!

Stretch Goals
A last overview of our Stretch Goals. With really strong, final 48 hours for Late Pledges we may even reach more than “Falconers of Mongolia” at 500K EUR (approximately 546K USD).
Also the “Avatar Hunter Skin” at 520K EUR (approximately 568K USD) is within close reach. It is a brand new, Kickstarter-exclusive Hunter Skin for our main character… only available for our Backers!
